Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

myBardoli is a food ordering and delivery service operating in Bardoli, Gujarat, India. This policy explains exactly what information we collect, why we need it, and who else sees it. It covers our website at this address and our Android apps: myBardoli (for customers), myBardoli Partner (for restaurants and stalls), and myBardoli Delivery (for delivery partners).

What we collect

Your phone number

You sign in with your phone number, and we send a one-time code to it to confirm it is yours. We store the number so we can recognise you when you return, and so a restaurant or delivery partner can contact you about an order in progress.

Your name

We ask for a first name once, when you first sign in. It is used to greet you in the app and to show who wrote a review. You are not required to give your real full name.

Your location

With your permission, we use your device's location for two things: to work out which stalls are near enough to deliver to you, and to set your delivery address at checkout. You may instead type an address manually, and you can save addresses under labels like "Home" or "Office" so you do not have to re-enter them.

The Partner app uses the phone's location only when a restaurant owner taps "Use my current location", to place their stall on the map. It is not used at any other time, and the owner can drag the pin instead.

The Delivery app additionally collects the delivery partner's location in the background while a delivery is in progress, so that the waiting customer can watch their order approach on a map. This only happens for signed-in delivery partners, only during an active delivery, and it stops when the delivery ends.

Your orders

What you ordered, from which stall, the amount, the delivery address for that order, its status, and any rating, review or problem you report afterwards. This is the record of the service we provided to you.

Your wallet

If money is added to your My Bardoli wallet — for example a refund for a cancelled order — we keep your balance and a record of every amount added or spent, with the reason and the date. This lets you see where your money went, and lets us resolve any question about it. Wallet money can only be spent on orders in this app.

Invoices and receipts

When an order is delivered we issue an invoice or receipt for it. It records what was ordered, the amounts, any tax charged, your phone number and the delivery address. We are required to keep these for tax purposes, and we keep them for at least six years as the law requires.

Messages you send us

If you contact support through the app, or report a problem with an order, we keep your messages and our replies so the conversation can continue and so we can see how it was resolved. Neither you nor we can edit a message once it has been sent.

Error reports

If something goes wrong inside the app, it may send us a short technical report so we can fix it: what went wrong, on which screen, and the type of device and browser. It does not include what you typed, your name, your address or your payments. It may include an anonymous account reference so we can tell whether one person is being affected repeatedly.

How you use the app

So we can see what is working and what is not, the app records what happens while you use it: which screens you open, which restaurants and dishes you look at, what you search for and whether anything came back, what goes into and out of your cart, and what you order. It also records the kind of phone you are on, the version of the app, and how long the app took to open, so we can find a fault that only affects some devices.

This is tied to your account while you are signed in, so that we can help you properly if something goes wrong with your order. While a restaurant or delivery partner is not signed in as you, they never see any of it — it is only for us.

It does not record anything you type that is not a search: not your address, not a note to the restaurant, not your phone number, and never any payment detail. We do not follow you into other apps or websites, and none of it is shared with anyone or used for advertising.

Who is on the app right now

While the app is open, it keeps one short line saying which screen you are on, so we can see how busy the app is at that moment and notice a problem as it happens. The line is replaced as you move around and is removed within a few minutes of you closing the app. Nothing is kept from it afterwards.

Notification token

If you allow notifications, your device is issued an anonymous token that lets us send you order updates. It identifies a device, not a person, and it is removed if you turn notifications off.

What we never collect

We do not store customers' card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment provider, on their own systems. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded.

The one exception is for restaurants and stalls: to pay out their earnings, we keep the bank account number, IFSC code and UPI ID they give us in the Partner app. Only that restaurant and our own team can see them, and they are deleted if the restaurant closes its account.

We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not run advertising, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

Who else sees your information

Nobody else. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party, and we do not sell it under any circumstances.

How long we keep it

Your account details and order history are kept while your account is active, because you need them to see your past orders and re-order. Order records are also our business record of a completed transaction.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your name, phone number, saved addresses, cart, saved dishes, notification token, support conversations and the record of how you used the app, and we remove your phone number and delivery address from your past orders. We keep a minimal record of those orders, with your personal details removed from it, because we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. Reviews you wrote stay, because a restaurant's rating is built from them, but your name is removed from them.

The record of how you used the app is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. What is left after that is a count — how many people opened the app, how many searched for a dish we do not have — which is about everybody and names nobody. Deleting your account deletes your record of using the app straight away, along with everything else.

Invoices are the exception to that removal: tax law requires us to keep them unchanged for at least six years, so they stay for that period even after an account is deleted. Any unspent wallet balance is paid back to you before an account is closed. Error reports are kept for no longer than we need them to fix the problem.

For a restaurant or stall, deleting the account takes the listing off myBardoli for good and deletes the owner's phone number, bank details and login, after anything owed has been paid out. Records of its past orders, payouts and invoices are kept for the same tax reasons.

Deleting your account, or asking for your data

From the app: in the myBardoli app, open the menu, tap Help & support, then Delete my account. In the myBardoli Partner app, open the menu, tap Support, then Delete my account. You can cancel the request from the same place until we have acted on it.

By email: write to support@mybardoli.in from anywhere, including if you no longer have the app. You can also ask us to show you what we hold about you, or to correct something that is wrong.

We complete every deletion within 30 days. Any order still on its way is finished first. For an email request, we confirm it is you using the phone number on the account before changing anything.

Children

myBardoli is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase, protected by access rules that limit each account to only its own information — a customer cannot read another customer's details, and a restaurant sees only the orders placed with it. Connections between your device and our servers are encrypted. Sign-in is by one-time code to your phone; there is no password for anyone to steal.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
